Are you more of a Caesar or a Venus?
My friend Sarah looks exactly like Scarlett Johansson and my cousin Shaun could be Matt Damon’s body double, but conversations about celebrity doppelgängers inevitably hit a wall when they get to me. Not so with ancient statues. Thanks to a new exhibit at the Musée de la civilisation (Museum of Civilization) in Quebec, I found my centuries-old double in no time. The website for the exhibit, which is titled “My 2000 Year Old Double,” will find you an ancient look-alike instantly. All you have to do is upload your photo and the museum uses a program called Betaface API that analyzes more than 120 facial features in order to find the best match within its collection of statues. (It’s the same software used in real-life video game simulations, advanced surveillance technology and some biometric data projects.)
