It offers specific recommendations based on your hydration levels throughout the day.
Tracking your water intake is one of those tasks supposedly made easier by mantras (like the 8x8 rule: drink eight 8-oz. glasses of water each day), motivational bottles, or apps, but the real problem is that no one can agree on how much water you should be drinking in the first place. A Google search tells you to take into account a number of factors, like age, sex, activity level and even where you live, to determine how much water you need to drink. In reality, though, your hydration needs change every day. Even drinking when you’re thirsty is a unreliable trigger, since many people mistake thirst for hunger—or don’t recognize it at all. So what’s a dehydrated person to do? The LVL band is a hydration tracker that uses LED light technology to monitor your body’s hydration levels, along with your heart rate, sleep cycles and activity levels.
