Some of the most incredible natural phenomena lie in the migration patterns of different animals. It's just incredible the level of organization these different species display...and in a way that isn't seen anywhere within the human race.
One of these stunning instances takes place within the Golden Rays, a species of Stingray.
These stingray make an absolutely epic migration together every year, twice a year, and people have been lucky enough to catch it in action.
Could you imagine seeing THIS while you're taking a leisurely boat ride!?
In many respects, it's kind of a terrifying sight. The stingers of these creatures are extremely lethal, after all.
But they only shoot them out when they're feeling cornered, so as long as that doesn't happen, you can totally be underwater pals with them.
The Golden Rays migrate to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico during the semi-annual migration.
They travel in packs of 10,000!
They leave a golden shimmer along the water, which is pretty stunning.
WOW.
