It turns out messages in bottles don't only happen in movies and storybooks!
There's something so whimsical and magical about finding a message in a bottle. It seems so unlikely that that bottle would travel unharmed across the sea and end up in the hands of a stranger at some foreign shore...but when it does happen, it's incredible.
Incredible is definitely the right word to describe what happened to this group of friends one day at the beach.
This washed up on shore and caught the attention of the friends while they were sunbathing.
They hit a road block when they realized how tightly the bottle was sealed...
...but they were not to be stopped!
Inside there was a sort of modern day scroll. It was a tightly rolled sheet of paper, taped together and marked with a date.
And the story inside is simply breathtaking.

The friends dutifully rolled up the paper, sealed up the bottle again and sent it back to sea, allowing Mel to continue his epic journey through his favorite place on Earth.
