Single-stroke painting is extremely difficult. It takes a lot of patience, skill and talent to get an image that really conveys something out of just one stroke.
These artists, who practice "Hitofude Ryuu," a special type of artistic style that involves creating very detailed complex images of Japanese dragons, are absolute masters of the one-stroke painting. Take a look at the videos below. Their work is truly incredible.
The artist begins. Seems pretty normal so far.
He takes a few strokes to draw the head, which at least shows he's human.
But then comes the single-stroke body of the dragon...this is TOO MUCH.
The videos will only further your disbelief of these guys.
How do you gather such an amazing understanding for the tools you're using?
How often do you think they have to practice?
Whatever the answers to those questions are, we're grateful, since the results are just so, so beautiful.
