La Popular: La Casa de Pascualita is a small dress shop in the middle of Chihuahua, Mexico. The store has become famous (or infamous)...but it's hardly because of the dresses. There's something far, far eerier attracting the attention of the locals.
La Pascualita is the nickname for the mannequin that stands in the front window of this dress shop. It is derived from "Little Pascuala." Pascuala was the owner who first introduced the mannequin.
The life-like detail in the mannequin is downright disturbing, and almost immediately after she debuted, people started to suggest she may actually be the preserved body of the daughter of Pascuala.
Pascuala's daughter had died from a the bite of a Black Widow spider on her wedding day.
The rumors seem silly enough when you look at the mannequin from a distance.
But look closer at the hands...
La Pascualita's dress is only allowed to be changed by the store owner and a few trusted employees.
She has become a bit of a legend and even achieved some saintly status. Many locals will go so far as to pray to La Pascualita.
