Bill Clinton Loves Balloons More Than We've Ever Loved Anything
We wish we could be this happy about ANYTHING.
In a defining moment for our country, Hillary Clinton made history last night when she became the first woman to accept a nomination for President of The United States.
In the wake of this historic hour, though, the internet was abuzz, not with talk of equality, or freedom, or the future of our country.
No, all anyone seemed to be talking about was how excited her husband, Bill Clinton, was about balloons.
To be fair, he was very excited.
Following the announcement, a shower of star-spangled balloons turned Bill from a former president into a gleeful toddler, completely in awe of the brightly-colored orbs swirling around him.
I honestly don't think I've ever seen anyone so happy in my entire life.
I mean just look at him, that innocent, agape smile, looking around in elated disbelief. He looks like a 5-year-old who just stumbled into his own surprise party.
"Hillary, you- you didn't say there was gonna be BALLOONS."
"Look Hillary, a red one!"
His bemused grin remained spread from ear to ear for the duration of the festivities.
His adorable, child-like reaction begs the question: Does he always react his way around balloons? Is Bill really at his happiest when he's in a Party City? Does it make him sad when he sees a lone, helium-filled friend drifting off into the sky?
Was Hillary aware of Bill's love for these buoyant puffs of joy?
Before the convention was she like "Go easy on the balloons, okay? Bill gets like a kid in a ballpit around those things."
So many questions. Questions that need answers.
But for now we'll settle for the sheer joy of watching anyone be this excited about anything. Bill Clinton, you are a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dreary election. You are a happy, red balloon in the sky of our hearts. Keep on, keepin' on you crazy former president, you.
