Pokemon Go Accidentally Makes The World Fit Again
Pokemon Go has become the hit of the summer. It's surpassed the Twitter app in active daily users and it's the fastest app to reach the top of the Highest Grossing charts ever.
The best part? Nintendo finally cracked the code on how to get people out and exercise. Pokemon Go accidentally became the exercise app that gamers didn't know they wanted.
Move aside gyms! There’s a new fitness guru in town.
Who needs an expensive Crossfit membership, or stupid home videos when you can become a Pokémon Master and look hot in a swimsuit all at once?
FitBits everywhere are going nuts
Kinect Training, Wii Fit, and Just Dance are just some of the games that have given life to the exercise video game market. However, as much as these are fun to play while you’re trying to lose a few inches off your waistline, they’re not exactly as exciting as the Pokemon Go.
These games have you tethered in one place: in front of the TV. On the other hand, the drive to become the very best that no one ever was (or at least, the best trainer in your town) is so intense it pushes you to go outside and explore the neighbourhood.
Just remember: breaking and entering your neighbors yard is never OK. Yes, not even for a Charmander.
Pokemon Go Fitness communities are popping up everywhere
A Pokemon Go fitness subreddit trended on Reddit yesterday, and the community has quickly become an encouraging, safe and active space for people to share their progress stories with Pokemon Go.
Check out some fitness stories people are sharing. It's very inspiring!
