Prepare To Be Insanely Jealous Of This Family Living Your Dream Life
First thing on the bucket list: Marry rich app developer.
Being in a family is an adventure of its own, but this family is LITERALLY exploring the world and Instagramming it along the way.
The Gee family are so rich that they literally stopped everything to go on a never-ending vacation to live a life that most people don't even dare dream of.
The Gee family looks like a totally normal—if not insanely good looking—young family of four.
The family has been traveling around the world for almost nine months!
And this isn't one of those situations where people take a short trip during their maternity leave or traveling the world right before they die.
It all started when dad Garrett developed an app that he sold to the tune of $54 million.
Garrett's app, Scan, was sold to Snapchat—it's the part of the app that scans to add people on Snapchat. He also has plans to continue creating more apps after the family finishes their amazing trip.
But they aren't just any rich people who drop everything to travel the world.
The Gee family literally sold all of their earthly possessions in one big online garage sale before embarking on their journey.
The Gee family has traveled to over 13 countries and countless states across the U.S., taking amazing pictures and videos along the way.
They upload all of their adventures to videos on their YouTube channel and their Instagram.
The family, in addition to having all of the earthly success and experiences that anyone could ever want, are surprisingly down-to-earth and really cute.
The family's trip is being funded by the money they made selling their belongings—they plan on using their Snapchat money for charity and service trips.
The parents met on a church service trip to Russia and ever since then, they have been incredibly generous with their wealth. According to an interview with People, they paid for five people to get LASIK surgery and for a low-income family to go to Disneyland.
The Gee's started their trip by making a very specific bucket list.
On their website, the list says:
- Become closer as a marriage and family.
- Be good friends to the people in our lives.
- Live a life of service and compassion.
- Learn to find happiness with less.
- Become more open minded and open hearted.
- Love and respect nature and the planet.
- Create life long memories.
While you may never be able to achieve their level of amazing globe-trekking, you can live vicariously through their social media channels.
