Apple's New San Francisco Store Has Some Dope Hidden Design Details
They really embrace the "Think Different" idea.
Any Apple fanboy will tell you that one of the biggest draws of their products is their sleek and clean design. The company has always been dedicated to creating products that not only work easily but, look great doing so. Their newest store in San Francisco's Union Square (which opened in May) is an extension of that beautiful attention to detail.
Apple's newest flagship store in San Francisco's Union Square is, like so many other Apple Stores, beautiful from both the inside out.
There are some extra details, however, that you don't notice until you get right up close to the store.
This photo—taken from the inside of the store—is just one example of extreme attention to detail. Can you see it?
As Cult of Mac points out, the seams in the sidewalk perfectly line up with the seams in the tile inside the store. This is a feature that's often found in high-end architecture seen in museums and extremely opulent homes.
Just like the tiles, the windows line up with the sidewalk seams.
The sharp details continue inside the store.
Wall panels line up with the shelving units displaying the latest Apple products.
Even the tables line up with the floor tiles.
Check it out: the lighting panels match the ceiling panels and even extend outside of the store.
In addition to being architecturally stunning, the store also gives a nod to the natural world.
Natural light streams through grandiose windows, while real trees warm up the otherwise sterile environment.
The store also includes a Wi-Fi equipped public plaza, complete with waterfall.
The outdoor plaza will be open 24-hours a day for people to gather and geek out about the latest Apple product sensation.
