3-Ingredient Trader Joe’s Appetizers, Because Lazy People Deserve Good Snacks Too
Simple snacking, courtesy of good ol' Trader Joe's.
1. Sriracha and Roasted Garlic Turkey Meatballs
These perfectly portioned turkey meatballs are fully cooked, so they're easy to throw together with a heavy dousing of the rich and tangy Sriracha and Roasted Garlic BBQ sauce for an appetizer that's great straight off a toothpick!
2. Lentil Dip
Just combine all three ingredients (lentils, bruschetta sauce and crumbled feta) and eat. Shout out to TJ's pita chips and/or naan for a perfect pairing—though we're not judging if you just go at it with a fork.
3. Baked Spinach & Artichoke Nachos
Sure, you could scoop up the dip with a chip—but if you can resist long enough to spread the chips out on a baking sheet, top with the spinach and artichoke dip and bake, you'll have a toasty added factor that makes for even more delicious flavor. If you feel like getting crazy, top with some applewood smoked bacon, too.
4. Polenta Bites topped with Tapenade
Polenta is super easy and malleable. Cut it into little rounds, triangles or cubes; add a dollop of olive tapenade (which is to die for); and garnish with a cute halved cherry tomato for a splash of color.
5. PB&J Fries
If you've never dipped french fries in peanut butter and jelly, then you're seriously missing out. Just bake the frozen fries according to instructions, serve up some fruit spread (I love raspberry) and peanut sauce (pro tip: warm it up first).
6. Blueberry Vanilla Chevre Broiled Pears with Pecans
Sounds super fancy, but it's really very easy. Start with a pear, cut it in half and carve out a little divett (or start with their canned halved pears, if you please), fill with a slice of their delicious Blueberry Vanilla Chevre goat cheese, top with pecan pieces and broil until bubbly and irresistible.
Pro tip: If you want to add a little meat, go with the TJ's sliced prosciutto.
7. Cheese-Filled Pretzel Bites
While this one takes a bit more legwork, your tastebuds will thank you. You can prepare the pretzel bites according to just about any recipe (try this one), and be sure to get a cube of the Pesto Gouda Cheese in the middle for a cheesy surprise.
8. Spicy Hummus Deviled Eggs
Trader Joe's has already done the hard work of hard boiling the eggs and peeling them for you. So, all you need to do it cut them, add hummus (any flavor variety you like, all of them are divine) and drizzle with their addictive Green Dragon hot sauce for an added kick.
9. Egg Salad Bruschetta
Sure, naming this bruschetta is a little liberal—but the Egg White Salad with Chives is one of the most underrated TJ's products. Simply adding a dollop to the crispy, buttery brioche toasts will make for a wonderfully savory app.
