For The Love Of Style And Your Health, Please Stop Wearing Crocs
The biggest problem with crocs isn't that they're ugly AF.
Fashion enthusiasts, the time is nigh! Crocs may finally be a thing of the past.
Sure, plenty of people rave that Crocs are quite possibly the most comfortable shoe they've ever worn, but the Huffington Post proved that Crocs may not be the best shoe choice for your tootsies.
According to Chicago podiatrist Dr. Megan Leahy, Crocs aren't suitable for all-day use since they do not properly secure the heel of the foot. As a consequence, your toes will start to grip towards the front of the shoe, causing tendonitis, corns and calluses.
Another doctor, Alex Kor, also explained that a lot of the patients he sees coming into his office complaining about arch and heel problems primarily wear the rubber shoes.
It's not all bad news, though. Dr. Kor explained that in the case of shoe wearers with very high arches or those with excessive swelling in their legs and feet may benefit from wearing the shoes, but says that under no circumstance can he recommend anyone wearing the shoes 8 to 10 hours a day.
So if for some strange reason you still want to wear Crocs, do so while gardening, cleaning up animal waste or frolicking at the beach.
Actually... You may not want to wear them at the beach.
