Avocado, Selfie, Facepalm And The Other 69 New Emojis We Can't Wait For
Finally, a way to properly express the idiocy of my friends.
Life hasn't been the same since emojis burst into the scene. They pop up in Snapchat stories, Instagram captions and can literally replace actual words in text conversations
Emoji is basically it's own language at this point, TBH.
There are currently 1,601 official emojis on the built-in keyboard, but 72 new options have been approved by The Unicode Consortium (the body that governs emojis--yes, this is real)
The new sampling stays true to the current theme and includes more facial expressions, hand symbols, food and animals, along with some new sports emojis that will come just in time for the 2016 Olympic Games
They new offerings also include long-requested options like the selfie arm, avocado, pregnant woman, and the now very timely gorilla emoji
Check out the full list of approved emojis. And if that's not enough, check out Justin Bieber's line.
