This Russian Family Has A Pet Bear That's Basically A 700-Pound Dog
Really, who doesn't want their very own pet bear?
Meet Stepan, a real-life teddy bear
Though Stepan is about 7 times the size of a teddy bear, standing 7 feet tall and weighing nearly 700 pounds, he lives with a Russian family like their very own (giant) stuffed animal
Svetlana and Yuriy adopted Stepan when he was just 3-months-old and was found weak and sick in the forest after losing his mom
They nursed him back to health, and he has lived with them for 23 years
According to the couple, he "loves people and is a really sociable bear"
He's not aggressive, and has never had any trouble with his human parents in their 23 years together.
He enjoys watching TV
And playing outside
But mostly he just likes hanging out with dad and reading
Or having tea with mom
He eats more than 50 pounds of fish, vegetables and eggs every day, and enjoys a can of sweetened condensed milk as a dessert treat.
He's also been in quite a few movies and even more photo shoots
He's learned to help out around the house, and really there's nothing better than a pet bear
Stepan is truly living his best life, and we couldn't be happier for him
