Spice Girl's Secret Album Leaked; Reveals She Could Have Been An R&B Diva
What we really, really want is for this former Spice Girl to become an R&B diva.
The Spice Girls are one of the most iconic girl bands ever and pretty much defined everything great about the 90s. Its members officially parted ways in 2000, breaking many of our hearts. But a recent revelation confirms that one of the members had been holding out on us. It seems Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham aka fashion icon, was trying to add "hip hop artist" to her growing resume (what?!). Her 2003 solo project was recently leaked online and it's making us think she missed an opportunity to have a career as an R&B goddess. Yes, it's that awesome.
Posh Spice tried to break into the hip-hop world as a solo artist in 2003, and we've sadly been deprived of her work... until now.
Victoria Beckham recorded a secret solo hip-hop album in 2003 that has just leaked online.
E! reports that Posh Spice teamed up with Roc-A-Fella's Damon Dash to record an album called "Come Together," featuring 17 tracks. The demos, which no one's ever heard, recently leaked online and ended up on Ebay, which means we're essentially hearing new music from Posh.
We're getting some MAJOR early 00s J. Lo vibes from this, and TBH, we love it.
Can we just step back for a moment and imagine if Posh had become an R&B star? Would she still be the fashion icon she is today? Why was this never released? There are so many questions we're dying to know the answers to. Until she (hopefully) speaks out about the project, we'll just turn up the volume on these tracks and pretend it's 2003 and Posh Spice is the R&B diva we all needed in our lives.
