Become a 'Ghostbuster' IRL At This Virtual Reality Theme Park
Where do we sign up???
Becoming a badass, ghost-fighting hero just became so much easier.
The Void virtual theme park opened up this past year in Utah, promising users a one-of-a-kind experience through space and time.
The brainchild of designers and tech geniuses from top companies such as Pixar, Hasbro, Disney and Electronic Arts takes virtual reality to a whole new level. The park uses a number of elements, including real-time interactive effects and a physical set, to immerse users into whatever world they choose to take an adventure in.
Recently, the creators of the park decided to take their act on the road, starting with an immersive experience at Madame Tussauds New York. The theme couldn't be cooler: "Ghostbusters."
Beginning this July, you'll be able to become a "Ghostbuster" and fight off Slimer with your very own proton pack.
The deal between The Void and Madame Tussauds New York is a promotion for the 2016 version of the "Ghostbusters" film coming out July 15th.
Columbia Pictures has done a lot to promote the film—including the revival of the Hi-C Ecto-Cooler drink—but continues to receive a lot of backlash for the reboot.
Even though there are mixed reviews about the upcoming revival of the film, one thing's for certain: this game looks awesome AF.
