23 Bachelorette Party Ideas That Don't Suck
Girls just want to have fun, after all
Don't get me wrong, I definitely wouldn't turn these guys away, but there are some bachelorettes who prefer a milder party that gets everyone just as excited as Channing Tatum shirtless does.
So instead of a night of shots and clubs, try some of these ideas to make an "unconventional" bachelorette party a night you'll all actually remember.
1. Make your own personalized perfume
Specialty shops around the country offer to host fragrance parties when you can create a unique fragrance that will remind you of your wedding day whenever you wear it again!
2. Plan an Anti-Vegas (Disney) trip
For the fairer brides who aren't interested in Vegas, take a trip to the happiest place on earth, instead!
3. Go glamping
Rent yourself a retro airstream, don some floral crowns and sip mason jar cocktails as you roast marshmallows over the fire. Nothing could be cuter.
4. Celebrate with a darling tea party
Enjoy macaroons and tea cakes at a tea party fit for the royal family.
5. Go to a paint and pour class
Also known as Bottle and Bottega, Sip and Paint etc. etc. Painting definitely gets easier as you drink more wine and in the end, everyone walks away with their own built in favor!
6. Hire a fortune teller
Have a fortune teller come to predict the future for the bride to be or have a psychic medium give your party some insights!
7. Practice your poker face
Bring Vegas to you by hosting your own casino night! Play poker and if you want to go all in, you can rent roulette wheels or slot machines from party supply stores.
8. Take on some Pinterest crafts
Pinterest was practically made for planning a crafting night and odds are you have a board filled with ideas already (just make sure they include plenty of glitter!) You can even have your friends help make their own party favors, or homemade wedding favors!
9. Team up with the boys
Often the couple has mutual friends of the opposite sex that will have just as much fun celebrating the couple together. And for a little friendly competition, split up for a scavenger hunt between the boys and girls.
10. Go on a wine tasting tour
Even if you don't live near a vineyard, many restaurants and wine bars also host wine tasting parties.
11. Have a zen day
Start with a yoga class, cook a fresh farm-to-table meal together and meditate after dinner for a peaceful, relaxing party.
12. Go to a comedy club
Let someone else take over for the night's entertainment and get the bride sitting front and center to make sure she's available for audience participation!
13. Decorate cakes or cupcakes
Go to a local bakery and try your hand at decorating some super sweet baked goods (and be sure to try them all in the process)
14. Spend a day at the beach (or the pool)
Bask in the sun before the big day (make sure to lather up) and enjoy a day of splashing around with your girlfriends.
15. Have a good old fashioned sleepover
Let the stereotypes take over -- watch a chick flick, have a pillow fight, talk about boys and paint your nails for a fun night in.
16. Plan a spa day
Pinterest up some home spa solutions from cucumber slices to face masks, paraffin hand wax treatments and manicures for a day full of pampering for the bride to be.
17. Go to a dance class
If pole dancing or stripteasing aren't your thing, go to a dance class together and learn a choreographed dance you can break out at the wedding!
18. Hold a roast of the bride to be
Let the ladies loose to poke fun at the bride to be!
19. Host a Pure Romance Party
Pure Romance parties are just like Tupperware parties, if you replace the plastic storage ware with sex toys, that is. A consultant will walk you through all sorts of fun toys and products for lots of giggles.
20. Take a mixology course
Learn how to make all the fanciest of drinks from a local bartender and practice making the best concoctions for the bride. Name her favorite after her and serve it at the wedding!
21. Have a glamour shot photo shoot
Everyone is going to want a stellar photo to Instagram anyway, so get dolled up and take tons of pictures with your girlfriends.
22. Sing your heart out at karaoke
Practice belting out female anthems for a night worth recording on your phones.
23. Go to a pole dancing class
Many dance studios also offer pole dancing classes and plenty of boutiques offer these classes specifically. Boost your confidence with your girls by your side. Or, try a striptease class to take it down a notch and learn some practical skills, too. 😈
