Frostie the baby goat is one of many young goats that suffers from Joint Navel Ill disease. This debilitating disease made it so that Frostie couldn't use his hind limbs. The bacteria settled in these limbs, and simply made it too painful to move them.
Frostie was all on his own, disease ridden, infected with lice and severely dehydrated, when he stumbled upon Edgar's Mission Farm Sanctuary.
The workers at Edgar's Mission immediately started helping Frostie. They gave him antibiotics and started getting rid of his lice.
They made sure he had all the food and water he could need.
Frostie's limbs had been filled with pus and swollen, but now he's fighting back!
More movement (helped by a special wheelchair) can help flush the toxins out of Frostie's system.
A little piglet at Edgar's Mission has been lending Frostie his little wheelchair for the time being.
And Leon Trotsky is the piglet's name, which happens to be the best name for a piglet ever.
Frostie's health and happiness is being vastly improved by all the hard work from the folks at Edgar's Mission.
Keep up the good work, guys...Frostie is the awesome little goat he is because of you!
