Rihanna And 10 Other Unlikely Ways To Help You Pay For College
Just when we thought Rihanna couldn't get any more badass.
Basically, Rihanna wants to give you a full-ride to college.
Rihanna clearly isn't 'Anti' education. She knows student loans can be 'Unapologetic' and recently announced her launch of a Global Scholarship Program through her Clara Lionel Foundation.
The scholarship will help pay for natives of Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica and her home country Barbados to go to college in the U.S. Scholarship awards range from $5,000 to $50,000 and have the potential to be renewed up to three years.
This has us singing 'Bitch Better Have My Money,' which roughly translates to, "thank you kween Rihanna and your kind soul for empowering people around the world to be educated without financial constraints."
According to the Clara Lionel Foundation website, "Scholarship finalists are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an outside appraisal."
Applications are due June 10. In the meantime check out these super-strange, but equally as cool, ways to earn a scholarship to help pay for your education.
1. A $25,000 scholarship if you make a good sandwich.
Jif Peanut Butter gives the Jif Most Creative Sandwich Contest Scholarship to the student who makes the most interesting sandwich. The scholarship includes $25,000 and a Jif Peanut Butter Basket.
