This "Bernie Sanders" Meme Is Literally An Act Of Terrorism
DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS
There are very, very bad people in this world who want to hurt others who don't agree with them ideologically.
Such is the case with whatever asshole created the latest Bernie Sanders meme, which takes advantage of the trusting nature of Internet users. The meme claims to be instructions for "Bernie Sanders Glowsticks," but it actually offers something far more sinister: instructions for making an alcohol and chlorine bomb.
The meme could lead to serious injuries and death and is actually an act of terrorism. Don't share it, unless it's to spread awareness of its danger.
Who would do such a thing? Was it a Trump supporter? A random anarchist? Nobody knows, but it is most certainly illegal.
Here's the meme. So, you know, don't follow these instructions.
Whoever made this meme is clearly trying to trick Bernie Sanders supporters into creating homemade bombs. The meme's creator wants Bernie supporters to get injured, killed or arrested for domestic terrorism. If the meme's sloppy grammar and weird tone weren't enough to convince you it's not legit, take it from me: You will get injured or arrested if you follow its instructions.
Here's what will actually happen if you build a "Bernie Sanders glow stick." Warning: Do not do what this dumb kid did.
You will most certainly lose a finger, or maybe even kill yourself, if you attempt to make a chlorine and alcohol bomb.
Building homemade bombs is very illegal, as is inciting others to do so. People have already reported the meme's poster to the FBI.
In one of the latest threads on 4plebs, on which the meme was posted, people are claiming they reported the poster. Which makes sense, because aiding and abetting terrorism is super illegal. If you see anyone sharing the meme in an attempt to trick others, I suggest you do the same.
It's fine if your political opinion differs from someone else's, but trying to injure someone because of it? That's deeply disturbing and very wrong.
