Shayna and Brandon are from Bali, Indonesia. They love animals and are no strangers to the concept of animal rescue (they have SIX rescued animals living with them).
A tiny little creature rolled in on their doorstep, and it seemed normal enough at the time. But when it turned out to be a tragically tiny, frail and abandoned kitten, Shayna and Brandon knew they couldn't leave the poor kitten alone any longer.
A neighbor dropped this little lady off with Shayna and Brian.
After a tenuous birthing that killed the mother and rest of the litter, she was the only survivor.
Shayna and Brian named her 'Lilu.'
Lilu became part of the family.
And proved that cats and dogs can totally be friends!
And was a huge hit with the fam.
She was just a tiny little kitten in a very big world.
But she seemed a bit too small.
They fed her often, and took her to the vet hoping for help.
Eventually, however, Lilu passed away peacefully in her sleep. She died so young, but she was able to die in a home filled with love and company, not starving in the streets.
