Kesha's Performance of Lady Gaga's Emotional Song Will Leave You in Tears
Slay, girl.
Kesha has been having an emotional year, and her most recent performance was no exception.
After a legal battle with Sony and producer Dr. Luke, which prevented her from recording new music, she released a track with Zedd, her first single in three years, in April.
Kesha performed Lady Gaga's "Till It Happens to You" at the Humane Society Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The song, written by Gaga and Diane Warren, was featured in the documentary 'The Hunting Ground.' The film and the song are about the sexual assault epidemic on college campus. Kesha dedicated the song to "every man, woman, child, animal that has ever been abused."
The song obviously has a very emotional impact coming from Kesha, who claims her producer, Dr. Luke, sexually abused her.
Lady Gaga sent Kesha support after the performance and encouraged women to speak out.
Gaga has been a vocal supporter of Kesha throughout the legal battle.
