Everyone, Call Your Mom Because Selena Gomez Is Pairing Up With Lifetime
Selena Gomez will executive-produce a scripted drama based on her life.
Selena Gomez is mother Lifetime's latest darling daughter.
As if you needed another reason to stay at home on Friday night, flannel-clad on your couch while spooning Ben & Jerry's and watching endless hours of Lifetime.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed Wednesday that Selena Gomez will executive-produce a scripted series about her life for the network with the worst movies you can't stop watching, Lifetime.
The show has a squad more stacked than Taylor Swift's. Executive production assistance will come from legends like Kevin Spacey ("House of Cards"), Dana Brunetti ("The Social Network"), Mandy Teefey, Samantha Droke, and Troy Searer.
This isn't Selena's first rodeo when it comes to the wild world of television, or executive producing.
Remember Selena in 'Wizards of Waverly Place'?
So young, so innocent, so Disney channel.
Turns out the breakout star of the series acted as EP on the 2013 movie spinoff.
What details of the most-followed person on Instagram's life will be scripted for the series? We've got a few ideas.
We're thinking a little bit of Disney, a lot of music, and hopefully a bit of Bieber, too.
There's no release date set for the series, but you better believe when it's ready we'll come and get it.
