From Pornhub To Snapchat, This Is How Brands Are Mourning Prince's Death
Purple rain, purple logos.
The world has a heavy heart today after news broke that musical icon Prince died suddenly at age 57.
Celebrities mourned the "Purple Rain" musician's death on social media, expressing condolences, sorrows, and touching tributes.The Grammy- and Oscar-winning artist greatly influenced pop culture and was a creative leader in music, art and fashion.
Prince's music paved the way for future artists to experiment with different styles and take risks. When he performed, he commanded attention through his energy, androgynous look, eclectic mix of pop and R&B and his ability to play countless instruments. He was a true artist, and a legend at that.
While the world is in complete and utter shock over Prince's passing, brands such as Snapchat, Pornhub and more are changing their logos, infusing them with purple to honor, remember and celebrate Prince's epic life and career.
Snapchat quickly reacted to Prince's death by releasing a purple rain filter.
The Minnesota Twins turned Target Field purple, and eerily enough, it happened to be raining...
Prince would be proud of Pornhub for honoring him with this logo.
Part of me wants to believe he was in on this one from heaven.
Cheerios received criticism for posting this message, and later took it down.
MTV changed their logo to purple, and will also be honoring the singer by airing music videos on three of its networks.
Minnesota-based company Helper posted a tribute to Prince which was also later deleted.
Best Buy honored him with this tweet and also changed their logo to purple.
And Google changed their logo to purple rain.
RIP, Prince. You are dearly missed.
