If Your Partner's Cheating, This Mattress Will Gently Let You Know
Finally, a product that supports your back and your paranoia.
Infidelity is a sad reality anywhere, but apparently it's especially sad in Spain, where unfaithfulness proved its popularity in the wake of 2015's Ashley Madison info leak.
Enter the Smarttress, the first mattress that will actually send a message to your phone to let you know if your mattress is ~in use~ while you're not home. Spanish manufacturer Durmet promises comfort at night and reassurance during the day as its clever tagline—an especially powerful promise for for anyone who's convinced their relationship will crumble at any given second.
"If your partner isn't faithful, at least your mattress is," taunts one of the mattress' advertisements, which pretty much guarantees an immediate sense of paranoia, regadless of your relationship status.
So, how does it work? The technology uses sensors to detect ultrasonic waves.
These sensors are then built into specific spring points.
Detectors sense when the mattress is, ahem, sensing activity and sends users a notification.
The app also provides a statistical breakdown of duration, intensity and impact per minute.
If you're that insecure about your failing marriage, this ad was made for you. But also know your partner could also just go to a hotel to carry out their affair.
