11 Things Anyone Who Thought They Were A Witch Growing Up Will Understand
Raise your hand if you were convinced you had magical powers as a kid.
It may have been the slew of 90s witch movies and tv shows that initially sparked a realization of our inherent powers, but that didn't make them any less real. The craft played a solemn role in our lives and our passage into womanhood.
For most of us, this has been a deep-seated secret up until now. It was a bond too sacred to share (other than with your BFF and she SWORE ON THE BIBLE). These are the things we did when we were pre-teen witches.
1. While everyone else wore cropped spaghetti tops, you dressed like the dark angel of death.
But mom would never buy you the fishnets you wanted.
2. You cast love spells on all of your biggest crushes and prayed one worked.
3.You had the power of life and death within you.
A heavy burden to bear for a 12-year-old.
4. You had the power to control the elements and took credit for every snow day.
5. You created your own spell book and used the "Revenge Spell" on the kid who booted a kickball at your head during recess.
But you had to sneakily thieve your dad's lighter for any spells that required a fire element (and you blistered your fingers trying to light it).
6. Even though you knew the truth, you were waiting for someone to break the news to you officially.
7. You mixed together Nerds, yogurt and grass to make your witches brew, and sometimes got a little carried away with the ingredients.
8. You had an intimate relationship with nature.
9. After the preliminary viewing of Spice World, you and your witch sisters would invoke the power of YAYA to levitate your friends.
But Molly was always the boner who reminded you that you were all going to hell.
10. Jason didn't notice your new braces bands color, so you fooled around with a little voodoo.
Years later when something terrible happened to Jason, you took credit.
11. For some unknown reason, you lost your powers at some point.
But we all had to accept and respect the decision.
