This Nitro Engine Sharpener Will Make You Want To Use Pencils Again

Unless you’re sketching something—or taking some type of standardized exam—you’re probably more apt to pick up a pen over a pencil. However, there’s something magical about using a good, old-fashioned №2—that is, until you remember what a pain in the ass it is to sharpen.

Well, one inventive chap named Mike—who runs a YouTube channel with his equally inventive wife, Lauren—revolutionized the concept of pencil sharpening by using the motor from an old RC car his buddy found in the garbage. In this short video, Mike goes showcases the entire process, from nitro engine scraps to full-on motorized pencil sharpener—and it actually works pretty well! By the end of the video, Mike sharpens three pencils in about seven seconds.
