Sonic Is Ruining Perfectly Good Milkshakes And You Can Get One At Coachella
Do it for the 'gram.
Today in "This is totally unnecessary:" Sonic created square milkshakes that will be sold exclusively on Instagram.
Sonic, who asked you to do this?!
This all comes as part of a campaign to promote Sonic's new Creamery Shakes, which feature more premium flavors.
New flavor options include vanilla bean, buttered toffee, dark chocolate, bourbon brown sugar, dulce de leche and wildberry & lavender.
Chef and Instagram genius Christine Flynn is behind the vision.

Flynn (@chefjacqueslamerde on Instagram) is known for poking fun at foodie culture by posting photos of super simple ingredients — think Ritz crackers and Hostess cupcakes — which she combines and plates in ostentatious ways.
It'll take more than a double tap for you to get one of the shakes. You'll have to go to Coachella first.

Because taking a milkshake apart and putting it back together wasn't already ridiculous enough.
It's basically the most pretentious thing to happen to the world since Coachella itself.

Why would you bastardize a perfectly good shake like that? WHY?!
An on-site campaign will allow festival-goers to cool down with a square shake for free.

Coachella attendees will be able to see geo-targeted sponsored ads on Instagram and use the "Shop Now" feature to have a shake delivered directly to them on festival grounds.
If a ticket to Coachella didn't seem worth it to you before, I'm sure you're going to want to rush to the desert for a free milkshake.

Although to be fair, I've done pretty shameful things for a free dessert.
