Foodies Will Freak When They Find Out Which Famous Cook's House Is On Airbnb
Just wait until you get into Paul and Julia Child's original kitchen.
Foodies, prepare to freak. You can now rent this adorable cottage in Provence, France, previously home to PAUL AND JULIA CHILD!
It's affectionately called La Pitchoune, and has hosted hundreds of famous food influencers over the years. The home functions as a full-blown cooking school April-June and September-October, and a rental exclusively through Airbnb on the off months.
And get this? The original kitchen has been perfectly preserved, just the way Julia left it.
It's almost identical to the Smithsonian's replica kitchen.
The best part is that guests are welcome to actually cook using Julia's original kitchen utensils (are you freaking out yet???)
Just don't try anything sneaky. The vintage kitchen is outfitted with state-of-the-art cameras to protect the pricy utensils.
We're craving beef bourguignon just looking at it.
There's even a concierge who lives on site in the neighboring guest house, who serves you local wine upon arrival. *swoon*
The rest of the cozy cottage is full of charm.
The back patio is draped in speckled sunlight and understated furniture for elegant dining.
Whether you dig yellow...
fancy pink...
Or prefer a blue hue, there's six beds total to choose from.
You can clean up for dinner in this elegant washroom.
Or this one. It's your choice. YOU'RE IN JULIA CHILD'S HOME AND YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT!
Maybe you go for a walk around the property and think about all of the veggies and herbs Julia would have harvested in her backyard garden.
And then pause to have an understated picnic on the patio.
Not to mention you could swim in this dope pool — 30 minutes after eating, of course.
At the end of the day, cozy up to the emerald green couch with a cookbook to plan out your next meal.
For a cool $590 a night and minimum five-night stay, you can gather up your favorite foodies friends for a gastronome's dream vacation.
:Le Sigh: See you soon, Julia's BAMF ghost...
