Someone Made An Honest Trailer For 'The Force Awakens' And It's Hilarious
You'll never see 'Star Wars' the same way again.
What if the trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" said what we really think about the film?
Good news: The Screen Junkies YouTube Channel did exactly that. Screen Junkies is a comedic channel that (pretty ruthlessly) pokes fun at many of the most popular action, superhero and other blockbuster movies. The channel posts new content every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You should definitely tune in.
Screen Junkies has parodied other Hollywood blockbusters, including "The Revenant."
"Hey, that's not Scorsese!" The Screen Junkies do a great job of subverting Hollywood tropes—don't you think?
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" also got skewered.
It seems the Screen Junkies aren't really fans of sequels.
The Screen Junkies have also been known to create honest trailers for TV shows.
After going down the rabbit hole of honest trailers, it begins to feel like the Screen Junkies have either watched so many movies/TV shows that they're bored with everything—or they just love to hate. Either way, it's a funny viewing experience, though perhaps a bit cynical.
Perhaps best of all, though, is the Screen Junkies' review of the Oscars as a whole.
Yes, it's definitely cynical AF, but it's pretty important social commentary, and hilarious at the same time. You can't ask for much more.
