John Boyega And Daisy Ridley Rap About Star Wars, Are Actually Awesome IRL
Star Wars rap game level: Jedi.
If you've been living under a rock, you might not know that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" came out at the end of 2015.
It was pretty much the Star Wars film we all wanted when Episodes I-III came out a decade ago and failed to deliver. All of our favorite characters from IV-VI were in it, and J.J. Abrams' take on the Star Wars universe was completely on point.
In "The Force Awakens," we were also introduced to some new characters—like Rey.
There's no question—Rey is cool AF and a totally badass and necessary female Jedi character. Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey, is pretty cool as well.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Finn.
Finn rules. He's a free-thinking guy who breaks out of the stormtrooper groupthink. What's not to love? Also, like Ridley, John Boyega is hilarious and awesome in real life.
In case you need proof of how hilarious and awesome they both are, here's an interview the two did on "The Graham Norton Show."
Yeah, Boyega and Ridley made jokes about giving action figures of themselves to their families for Christmas. Pretty sweet.
So Daisey Ridley and John Boyega seem pretty cool in real life. But I mean, that's all for the press, so they're probably faking it, right?
They are actors, after all, and part of the job is selling the movie. "The Force Awakens" was probably a super stressful film to make, and they're probably real divas IRL. They're superstars. How could they NOT be divas?
Actually, Boyega and Ridley really are that cool IRL, and they showed it by laying down some sweet beats and dope rhymes in a little Star Wars on-set rap.
This video of Boyega and Ridley doing a Star Wars rap shows that they really are down-to-earth people. Not only do they love to have fun, they make sure others are having fun, too. It's a pretty impressive portrait of how two high-achieving people can work hard and kick back at the same time. Plus, their rap is pretty fresh. It honestly makes me want to see the movie all over again.
