A Texas Man Claims He Found Biblical Fossils, And It Totally Seems Legit
This might just be the greatest find in the history of history, folks.
Apparently, a man from Tyler, Texas recently found fossils dating back to Noah's flood in his aunt's front yard.
Three cheers for God!
This is Wayne Propst.
Recently, Propst was spreading dirt in the front yard of his aunt's house when he came across two fossils, which he claimed dated back to the time of Noah's flood. As Propst stated in an interview with CBS 19 KYTX, "From Noah's flood to my front yard. How much better can it get?"
Propst actually believes the Turitella snail fossils date to the time of Noah's flood. What evidence does he have? None, of course, other than his own belief—although Paleontology expert James Sagebiel has stated the fossils are 35-40 million years old, which means they're literally older than the Book of Genesis.
Since finding the initial fossils, Wayne and his aunt Sharon have been tirelessly searching the yard for more good, Christian fossils.
Wayne and Sharon's claims have been backed up by Joe Taylor, some guy who lives in Texas and considers himself to be a "fossil expert," kind of in the same way I'm an astrophysics expert, even though I've never been to school for astrophysics nor researched it in any way whatsoever. Honestly, astrophysics is just a cool phrase I heard once and so I declared I'm an expert in it.
Of course, historians have claimed over the years that the flood mentioned in the Book of Genesis was likely a real event—one that took place in the Middle East. Yes, this is nowhere near Texas, but much like you shouldn't tell a small child Santa isn't real, you shouldn't bother Wayne and Sharon with facts or truth, and instead let them live on with their childlike imaginations. It's what God would want.
Here's what some of Propst's fellow Texans probably had to say about the historic fossil find.
There seems to be resounding agreement with Propst's conclusion...
After all, God makes no mistakes. He specifically chose Propst to find those fossils in the dirt.
There is one dissenting minority in the case of Propst's fossils.
But should we really worry about things like "facts" and "science" when it comes to Biblical phenomena? No. There's your answer. We need to live on, unquestioning of God or any mentions of anything related to Him. Forever. Now that's good Christian progress.
