Don't Miss Emma Watson And Lin-Manuel Miranda Sorting Characters From Hamilton
It's as if the universe knew that we've all been craving a meetup of these two amazing humans. Or, at least, the Twitterverse—and that's one of the most important universes. Lin-Manuel Miranda sat down with Emma Watson for #HeforShe, but stopped the interview for a sidebar on the best topic ever: Into which Hogwarts houses would the characters from Miranda's "Hamilton the Musical" be sorted? Their conversation is adorable, hilarious and downright informative. What else would you expect from these two?
During the #HeforShe conversation, Lin-Manuel was basically like, hold up, let's get real and talk about Hogwarts.
At first, Emma was hesitant, but secretly so into it—and, of course, already prepared.
Emma and Lin-Manuel discuss sorting historical figures into each of the Hogwarts houses, and I'm all:
Angelica gets sorted into Ravenclaw.
With an intellect capable of overriding her heart in critical situations, Angelica is for sure a Ravenclaw. This girl would be answering riddles IN HER SLEEP to get past the painting that guards the entrance to Ravenclaw's tower.
Eliza's a Gryffindor.
Emma hits the nail on the head by sorting Eliza—all heart and courage—into Gryffindor. Eliza follows her heart, even if it means marrying a broke-ass soldier, and later forgiving him for cheating so that they can grieve their son together.
Guess who's next...
Creeping along through the shadows of the dungeons...
Aaron Burr...Slytherin!
Even though Emma thought he could have gone in Hufflepuff earlier in his life, Aaron's ambition lands him firmly in Slytherin in her eyes.
Alexander Hamilton is in Gryffindor, natch.
Of course, Emma puts "The Little Lion" into Gryffindor. All authenticity and bravery, Hamilton would be BFFs with Harry.
However...Daniel Radcliffe had a different opinion
Uh-oh...
Daniel thinks Alexander Hamilton would have been a Ravenclaw.
Emma is not having it.
Lin-Manuel just sits there enjoying the ride, and Emma's confusion.
Can you blame him? She's Hermione incarnate, and so is justifiably hurt/confused that Daniel wouldn't put him in Gryffindor.
And I'm over here like:
Brava, you two! I love everything about this wonderful conversation.
