1. Your weekends start on Sundays.
Wanting it to be busy but also wanting it to be soooo slow.
People who switch tables a ton of times. STAY PUT!
Being ignored after greeting a table.
The annoying question “What is your favorite thing on the menu?â€
Or even worse, “What kind of food do you have here?â€
Substitutions Of ANY and EVERY kind.
People saying they’re ready to order when they really have no idea what they want.
Accommodating “dietary restrictionsâ€â€¦
…or people who are just too picky.
Not having enough glassware/silverware/plates/etc.
Being blamed when food takes a long time to come out.
…unless you really did forget to send their food order in...my bad..
That person who needs an extra side of dressing. And when you come back with that, they need a sweet tea refill. And when you come back with that....
Being flagged down in any way, shape or form.
UGH, Sidework.
Last minute walk-ins...seriously, people?
This also goes for people who got there at 8:00 and want to sit around midnight.
Bad tippers
But it’s not all bad! Most patrons can be very happy and pleasant…
Not to mention, you always have cash on you
It’s practically a requirement to go out drinking with your coworkers once your shift is over
...and as a result, you make some pretty amazing and fun friends.
Plus you also learn to tip like TRUE BALLAS!
