Stop What You're Doing And Listen To This Rapper Rap About His Cats
His name is Moshow, and he just really likes cats.
Dwayne Molock, aka Moshow, is a rapper living in Portland, Oregon. But he's not like any rapper you've ever heard.
Moshow raps almost exclusively - at least from what I can find - about cats. His own cats, to be specific, all of which are Sphynxes. Their names are Megaman, Sushi and Tali. But Moshow didn't always rap about cats. According to the Huffington Post, Moshow grew up in the projects and used to feel pressured to rap about more traditional rap-friendly subject matter. Eventually, he felt too constrained, and that's when he became truly authentic by honing his cat-rapping skills. He's a cat guy through and through.
No, it's not an act - Moshow is actually nuts about his cats.
Just listen to his rhymes: "I'm chillin' in cat world. I got cats in my house man, cats to the floor." Well, I guess those aren't technically rhymes. But his cat passion really comes through in his songs, and the videos are massively entertaining to watch.
Moshow spends just about any moment he can with his cats.
He's got videos and pictures like this all over his Instagram, and it's something you should really see. He just loves a nice Sphynx. He also celebrates #YesMenLoveCatsMonday on a regular basis.
This is essentially the "feature" song for his cats. He names them and gives close ups of each of their feline faces.
Sure, the music isn't "good" by any definition of the word, but the novelty value is unsurpassable, and it's just so cute and entertaining to see a guy try to rap about his cats like this. He's got a good heart, and that's the really important thing. Keep doing you, Moshow.
And finally, here's "Love You Cats," the latest music video from Moshow.
