After 4 Years Of Nothing, Foo Fighters Put These 2 Videos On YouTube
Famed rock band Foo Fighters uploaded two videos from a decade old live performance in the same day after not uploading anything for nearly four years. It's got the Internet in a tizzy.
Foo Fighters, a band which by now everyone should be familiar with, decided to randomly upload two videos in a single day from an old live show. It was their first upload in four years.
Foo Fighters is of course the project of Dave Grohl, former Nirvana drummer and rock music heavyweight. They (or, more likely, someone representing them) decided two upload two videos from the same concert in a single day, even though their vevo hasn't featured a new video in four years. Though the particular performances they uploaded seem random, the songs are two of their all-time greatest hits.
The songs that were uploaded: "Monkey Wrench" (below) and "Times Like These" (above).
Sure, the performances are pretty great, but still - why upload these two random videos after four years of vevo silence?
Nobody knows why the Foo Fighters did it.
But it's got YouTube talking. Here's what people have had to say about the upload of the (seemingly random) videos.
EXACTLY.
None of us can understand, Dennis. But we do understand that it's totally awesome.
Like I said, it's been four years. We might just have a conspiracy on our hands here, the magnitude of which we've never before seen.
Or maybe we just have a few dudes in a band fondly reminiscing. Yeah, maybe it's that.
This guy gets it.
Rather than being skeptical, I suppose, the correct response is love. Love for Foo Fighters.
If you've heard "Monkey Wrench" before but you aren't sure where, this might be an epiphany.
Did you finish it on expert though?
Some people get very defensive when it comes to old school
Lucas is very defensive of his buddy Dave.
But most importantly, among the confusion, the intelligent folks of YouTube remembered this fact.
All praise Grohl 🙌
