HBO Has a 'Slenderman' Documentary Coming Soon and We Can't Wait
If you loved "Making a Murderer," you'll probably love this documentary, too.
The Internet meme Slenderman will be making his premier as a documentary at SXSW.
The documentary, "Beware the Slenderman," follows the families of the two 12-year-old girls that stabbed their classmate, claiming Slenderman told them to do it.
In 2014, the juvenile girls lured their classmate into the woods of Waukesha, Wisconsin and stabbed the victim 19 times, almost killing her.
The documentary follows Internet memes and their influence in real-life.
Of course the documentary has its critics...
...and its fans.
This wouldn't be the first time the Slenderman meme hit major media.
The character was created in a creepy photoshop contest back in 2009 and has since become inspiration for folklore and even video games.
After the premiere at SXSW, there is no word on when the documentary comes to HBO.
