You've heard of and obsessed over the cronut for quite some time but the latest iteration of dessert hybrids is here to knock it out of the running.
The macaronut is a cross between a French macaron and a donut which basically means it's about to become your new favorite thing.
NYC-based pastry chef Francois Payard created the macaronut to celebrate National Macaron Day on March 20.
The macaronut is a giant macaron in the shape of a donut. Payard will be selling strawberries and cream flavored macaronuts to celebrate the holiday.
If you want to get your hands on one, you'll have to visit one of Payard's NYC baked
