Here's Why Alcohol (And Being an Adult) Make Disney World So Much Better
Sure you loved Disney World as a kid, but when you go as an adult, it's 'A Whole New World.' Get it??
1. You can drink
There's nothing more magical than being at the most magical place on earth while drinking some of the most magical cocktails on earth.
Although Magic Kingdom only offers one spot to get a boozy beverage, all of the other parks offering a variety of different wines, cocktails and slushes. There's even a drinking guide so you can plan your trip accordingly.
2. You can get on whatever you want when you want
No more having to wait on your younger siblings that want to ride the People Mover over and over again. You're grown, which means you can do what you want at your own pace.
Best part of it all? Disney offers FastPass+ on all of their major attractions.
3. You can appreciate the technology of the older rides
Although Disney World has gone through a lot of changes since its grand opening in 1971, one thing that remains the same is the amount of technological pioneering in the park.
The Haunted Mansion opened the same day as the Magic Kingdom park and still has some of the same audio-animatronic technology it used in 1971. Walt Disney's team of Imagineers were really forward thinkers.
4. You can appreciate every tiny detail
Each ride has a ridiculous amount of detail put into everything from the entrance, to the queue, the ride and even the exit.
For example, The Tower of Terror queue takes you through the lobby of the abandoned hotel, with dust and cobwebs all around you. If When you escape the curse of the haunted elevator, there's a check-out counter right next to the gift shop.
5. You can appreciate the food A LOT more
Whether you're eating a gigantic turkey leg, overlooking It's A Small World or trying the gray stuff (it's delicious) with Belle, you'll find a one-of-a-kind dining experience at Disney.
The best part? No one judges you for what you eat and when you eat it. Want something sweet right when the parks open? Grab a churro or two and explore the park.
6. No one judges you for being obsessed with Disney
If you're obsessed with Disney characters, regular people may say you need to grow up. At Disney World, literally everyone is obsessed with a Disney character.
This is your safe place - no one judges how much you fangirl over a character. Your mission is to find that character, meet them in person and show the haters that your obsession is valid.
