Maggie Smith Spilled The Beans On What It's Like Kissing Leonardo DiCaprio
*Faints*
Admit it: you've wondered what it would be like to kiss Leonardo DiCaprio.
You've probably thought about it more than once.
Well, Maggie Smith will be the first to tell you - it's a "thrill." The "Downton Abbey" star had the pleasure of being kissed by Leo at the BAFTA Awards on Feb. 14.
*Squeals inside*
When asked about the magical moment, Maggie said: "He did indeed. That was a thrill for me. A real thrill."
She also admitted to being a fan of young Leo (who isn't?) ever since one of his first films, "What's Eating Gilbert Grape."
Um, I think we all fell in love with him then.
The kiss might have been the highlight of Maggie's night, but Leo's big moment came when he won a BAFTA award for his role in "The Revenant." Whether or not he will win an Oscar is TBD, but Maggie says she's "rooting" for him.
"Because I think he is a terrific actor," Maggie told NPR. "And I’ve been rooting and voting for him since ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.’ I thought he was so amazing in that when he was so young."
Sounds like even Maggie is on board for Leo winning an Oscar this year - just like the rest of the Internet!
