This Photographer Captured A Beautiful Bird's-Eye View Of The Big Apple
🎶 New York, New York 🎶
New York offers some of the most iconic photographic sites in the world
But photographer George Steinmetz's "New York Air" project aims to capture them in a unique way
From the sky, that is.
Steinmetz shot most of the photos from this unique little contraption which is one part helicopter and one part paraglider.
From this vantage point, he could experience a pigeon-eye view of the Big Apple and captured some stunning images of America's largest city.
Like hundreds of cabs waiting for passengers at JFK airport
Or a packed film screening at Bryant Park
According to Steinmetz, the project aims to "capture the complexity of 21st-century New York, with its new skyline and waterfront landscape, dazzling contemporary architecture and historic buildings,"
"—along with parks and streets and rooftops used for every possible purpose, and the massive infrastructure that keeps it all going."
