This New Coloring Book Is Perfect For All Obsessed With 'The Golden Girls'
Soon, you'll be able to color your very own Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia and that's the greatest news we've heard all year.
Mike Denison, a Boston artist known for his various "Golden Girls" art projects and the "Bea-a-day" sketches, has created a Kickstarter page to fund an amazing new project.
Denison's Kickstarter is raising money for a modest self-published run of 300 "Golden Girls"-themed adult coloring books.
Denison's coloring book was originally planned to be only 40 pages long.
But everyone loves their favorite TV seniors, and the project's received enough financial backing to double its length to 80 pages. Yes! 80 pages of coloring my main gals! Thank you for being a friend, Mike Denison.
The art from the coloring book will be based around some of the most famous scenes from the classic series.
Adult coloring books have been majorly popular as of late, but this really steps up the game.
Here's the scene the coloring book page is based on.
Just in case you're not a die-hard fan like me and don't have the entire episode burned in your memory.
More sample art: Dorothy and her mother Sophia as Sonny and Cher.
Of course, this is from the episode "An Illegitimate Concern." Duh.
Nobody pulls off Sonny quite like Sophia.
This sample art page also popped up on the Internet, but you won't get it unless you're the most die-hard of die-hard GG fans.
Trivia: the image refers to the series' pilot, which features Dorothy talking to Coco, a cook who appeared only in that episode.
