The '8th Harry Potter Book' Is Coming Out This Year
This is everything you've been wishing for.
Take a deep breath, I'm about to blow your mind with some Harry Potter news.
So you remember these characters who stole our hearts?
And how the story ended here, 19 years after the defeat of Voldemort?
It was a touching ending and our hearts were full.
BUT THEN, we found out Rowling had written 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' to be produced as a play with the most coveted tickets probably ever.
And not to mention, a spot-on cast.
AND NOW, the plot thickens (like every good 'Harry Potter' book) since parts I and II of 'Cursed Child' will be released as a script book.
The first "Rehearsal Edition" of the script will eventually be replaced by a "Definitive Collector’s Edition" that every Harry Potter fan will be dying to get their hands on.
(Quick interjection for you to jump up and down)
In case you didn't already know, the plot overview of the story is everything we could dream of: Harry's adult life working at the Ministry, and more adventures at Hogwarts through his son, Albus.
"It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."
According to the Pottermore website "print and digital editions will publish simultaneously after the play's world premiere" and the Little, Brown Book Group confirmed it will be released at midnight on July 31st.
Happy Birthday to Harry (and also to all of us)
And here's a montage of how we're all feeling right now:
