Here Are All The Secrets Behind Taylor Swift's 'Out Of The Woods' Video
Big thanks to Tay Tay for sacrificing herself for the sake of our viewing pleasure.
Taylor Swift's "Out of the Woods" is by far one of her most captivating, visually complex music videos.
The singer recently released a behind-the-scenes video, where we get a clear look into the creative process - and we have to say, it's pretty remarkable all the sh*t Tay had to go through.
"The entire video is basically Taylor suffering through an emotional landscape of trees and forests and snow and water, and all that is metaphor, but it's being done practically on location here in New Zealand," director Joseph Kahn says in the video.
There were hardly any backdrops or set designs - most of the scenes were shot on location in New Zealand.
The underwater scenes were shot in a swimming pool.
Those wolves were REAL. They were trained to growl, run at the camera and look scary AF.
The frozen scene was actually the warmest scene to film since it was filmed indoors.
The bottom of her dress was dipped in wax to look like it was frozen.
The mud scene was just as cold, gloppy and miserable as it looked.
"The mud is like ice," Taylor says while clutching her body.
She was actually freezing for most of the video.
Luckily, she was able to shake it off for the sake of all of us! You're a superstar, Tay.
