Twitter Has Declared Chris Martin This Year's Left Shark At Super Bowl
Chris Martin did not have hot sauce in his bag or swag.
Coldplay, who? The British band might have headlined the Superbowl 50 Halftime Show, but the spotlight was stolen by special guest performers, Bruno Mars and um, BEYONCÉ.
NBD or anything, but the day before taking the Super Bowl stage, Queen Bey dropped surprise song, "Formation," which instantly became iconic.
The video was packed with important messages about black activism.
She performed her new hit at the Halftime Show and slayed (okay!) every second of it. Oh, and she casually dropped that she's going on a world tour.
Find out all the information on her world tour here!
So anyway, Chris Martin was there, too.
The Coldplay frontman took the stage with Bey and Bruno Mars, and his adorable attempt to keep up reminded the Internet of a certain star from last year's Super Bowl...
Yup, LEFT SHARK. He's back! In the form of Chris Martin, that is.
We all remember Left Shark from last year's Super Bowl, who famously couldn't keep up with Katy Perry's choreography.
Left Shark went down in Super Bowl history.
We have to give Chris bonus points for trying to act swagtastic, but the Internet quickly caught on.
Beyoncé saved the day.
Just like Left Shark, Chris seemed to have no clue what he was even doing up there.
But the best part is, CHRIS SEEMED SO HONORED to take the stage with his guest (super) stars. Just look at his face! He is literally all of us if we got the honor of standing so close to Beyonce.
It was sucha big moment for him, we're living vicariously through him.
He just wanted to fit in.
Some even referenced Bey's "Formation" lyrics, but agreed there was no hot sauce in Chris' bag.
Even Anna Kendrick was like, WTF Chris.
Poor Chris was just at a loss for words, and moves.
But if there's one person who understands what he's going through, it's LEFT SHARK HIMSELF.
And with that, a new Left Shark is born.
