9 Awesome And Goofy Inventions Straight From The Minds Of Kids
British designer and inventor Dominic Wilcox values creativity a great deal, but he loves developing it in others even more. And who better to fuel the imaginations of than kids?
In an initiative he calls The Inventors Project, Wilcox has over 450 children (and a few adults) draw their own invention ideas and explain their features and functions. Then he has local makers and manufacturers make them into real-life prototypes. Suffice it to say, there's no shortage of creativity among participants.

And as an inventor, how could you not get excited about seeing a young imagination at work? Just look at these ideas.

7. "Phone Friend" by Colin Salmon
8. "War Avoider" by Charlotte Scott
"Instead of just putting the drawings on the fridge door as most adults do with a child’s drawings, why not push the ideas as far as they can go?" the project's website says.
9. "E-Z Slice Fryer" by Isaac Dawson
The main goal of Dominic and the Inventors Project's volunteers? "Taking the power of children’s imaginations seriously and seeing where it leads to."
