Don't Try This At Home: Guy Made Auto Mini-Gun Out Of Wood And Coke Bottles
This is pure insanity at its finest. DO NOT try this at home.
If that isn't pure insanity, I don't know what is.
I mean, he doesn't really seem all that dangerous, but he made a mini-gun that shoots arrows using only common household items and his own ingenuity. So while he seems like a pretty nice and friendly guy on camera, there's definitely a mad genius lurking beneath his "kind gentleman" exterior.
But as for the gun itself, the design is quite brilliant.
The coke bottles are used as pressurized containers, which he fills up using a compressor or bike pump. When the pressure is fully built up inside of the bottles, it can be released by the simple turning of a lever, seen above. When this pressure is released, each individual arrow is shot from its corresponding tube.
Using a standard power drill, the coke bottles (and thus the arrows) rotate and can all be shot without having to release the trigger.
Here's a close up of the gun at work.
As the bottles rotate, the levers all strike the wooden plane at the top of the gun, releasing each arrow. I told you it was both brilliant and insane.
This is what the gun looks like in action.
For this test, he filled the bottles with a fairly cheap air compressor that "only" reached 120 psi.
Look how fully pressurized the bottles are. Any more pressure, and they'd burst.
Yes, this thing could kill 6 men at once. Just don't make one of these, please.
The video is just made so much better by the maniacal laugh at the end.
