This Artist Will Have You Believing Your Limitations Truly Are In Your Head
If Mariusz Kedzierski doesn't have any excuses for pursuing his dreams, then you definitely don't get to make any.
Mariusz's talent may distinguish him from other artists, but there's something else that set him apart...
Mariusz was born with a genetic deformity, resulting in his arms never fully developing. But as you can see, he doesn't let the disability keep him from developing his ability.
"For me disability doesn’t mean that I can’t live my own, great life. It doesn’t mean that I have to forget my dreams. Art has been my way of life for 7 years," he writes on Bored Panda.
"Since that time I have drawn over 700 drawings that took me 15,000 hours. Meanwhile, I got 2nd prize 'Best Global Artist' in Vienna in 2013. I participated in exhibitions in Cracow, Vienna, Oxford, Wroclaw and more."
With such a seemingly limiting disability, some might wonder, "Why art?" Or just as equally, "Why 'hyperrealistic' art?"
First, as trite as it sounds, put simply, we don't choose our passions - they choose us.
And perhaps drawing people and things to photorealistic perfection is simply the greatest way for Kedzierski to prove that his limitations - that our limitations are only constructs of our minds.
"I’ve done one of my latest drawings during my travel through the Europe. I was working on the streets of Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Barcelona, Marseille, Venice, Rome, and Athens...This way, I want to inspire people, show them that all the limits are in our heads."
But not the case for the young and talented Kedzierski. No. His are no where to be found.
