Mattel has decided it's time for an evolution of Barbie's original figure.

Barbie has just announced the release of their Spring 2016 line and you may have noticed something a little different about the dolls.

They're now available in a variety of body types. In this new collection, you will find dolls that are petite, tall and curvy, along with the original Barbie figure.

The 2016 Fashionistas line is just one part of Mattel's #thedollevolves movement.

This summer they will release a "game developer Barbie" to promote the Career of the Year, along with a resident and Vice President doll. The movement is helping to change Barbie's limited reputation and show that she is a doll that can encourage girls to do and be anything they want.

The dolls are available in four body types, seven skin tones, 22 eye colors, 24 hairstyles and tons of trendy outfits and accessories.

Now young girls will be able to play with customized dolls that look more like them and the people around them.
