Cinnamon swirl hair is a subtle new trend you might actually love.
Have you ever looked at a cinnamon roll and thought, "Wow, this crisp golden brown dessert would make great inspiration for a hair color?"
Maybe when you look at cinnamon rolls, this is all you can think...
In any case, there's a new hair color trend on the rise that takes inspiration from these beloved treats.
It's a multi-dimensional hair color that's definitely more tame than the pastel tresses that are trending all over social media.
This look is called cinnamon swirl hair and features warm honey tones and nutmeg cinnamon-inspired bits throughout.
This look was created by New York City colorist Ryan Pearl who you can find at Cutler Salon. It's an easier way to get an ombre look and sits somewhere between blonde and brunette shades.
“The color was done in a normal single process and I hand painted brighter bits in foil to give it a multidimensional look,” Pearl told Mane Addicts.
He suggests that if you want to get the look yourself, you should ask your colorist to use two different glazes (ok, all I can think about now is actual cinnamon rolls) to achieve it.
